옛 노래방 애창곡
옛 노래방 애창곡은 이승철의 '비애'라는 곡이었다. 과격한 샤우팅으로 시작되는 클라이맥스가 아니라 고요하게 점진적으로 올라가는 클라이맥스라서 좋아했던 것 같다. 그러니까 멜로디가 자연스럽게 우수에 차 있어서 좋아했던 것.
나도 아주 오래전에, 붉게 물든 노을 속에서 한 웅큼의 눈물을 날린 적이 있었다. 비애, 우수에 찬 단어다. 프랑스 영화, '남과 여'가 생각나게 하고, 쟈크 프레베르의 '아침 식사'라는 시를 생각나게 한다.
잘 살고 있을까. 너의 비애가 궁금하다. 너의 비애는 어떤 풍경일까.
My favorite song in the old karaoke room was Lee Seung-chul's 'Sadness'. I think I liked the song because it was not a climax that starts with extreme shouting, but a climax that goes up calmly and gradually. I liked the melody because it was naturally filled with melancholy.
A long time ago, I also shed a handful of tears in the red sunset. 'Sadness', it's a word filled with sorrow and melancholy. It reminds me of the French film, 'Men and Women', and of Jacques Prebert's poem Breakfast.
